What Is fpPathfinder's Data Retention Policy?
We do not store any client data or generated documents permanently. Any storage of data is strictly temporary and is carried out only for the shortest duration necessary to support specific technical functionalities. Below, we outline the procedures for handling client data and generated documents:
Checklists
- Raw Client Data Storage:
- Purpose: To generate the resulting PDF document.
- Retention: Raw client data is stored only long enough to generate the document and is destroyed immediately after the document is created.
- Document Handling:
- If Filled Out by Advisor:
- Storage Duration: The generated document is stored for 10 minutes to allow download access via a signed URL.
- Post-Download Access: After 10 minutes, the document is destroyed. If a download is attempted after this period, the user will be notified that the document is no longer available and will need to re-enter the client data and regenerate the desired document.
- If Filled Out by Client:
- Storage & Access: The generated document is attached to an email sent to the advisor, and the original file is deleted immediately after.
- If Filled Out by Advisor:
Deliverables
- Raw Client Data:
- Source: Provided via onscreen form or CSV upload.
- Retention: Stored only long enough to generate the resulting PDF document(s) and destroyed immediately after.
- Generated Assets:
- Format: Either a single PDF or a zip file containing multiple PDFs (if populated by CSV upload).
- Storage Duration: The generated asset is stored for 10 minutes to allow download access via a signed URL.
- Post-Download Access: After 10 minutes, the asset is destroyed. If a download is attempted after this time period, users will be notified that the asset is no longer available and will need to re-enter client data to regenerate the document.
